What Is Cryptids And Photos About? At first I will attempt to explain what cryptids are just in case you are new to the term, cryptids are a term used by cryptozoologist to explain an animal that has remained hidden from science.
A cryptozoologist is a person or researcher who goes about trying to study and document these animals, though there are many in the science community that refer to cryptozoology as a pseudoscience I on the other hand have seen enough about what these people do to say "they have earned my respect". Why? well these are the people that take the time that they could be spending with their family among many other things, and at times even spend there own hard earned money to get out from behind the desk and actually get out in the field to do this research, and expeditions, research and equipment can really cost money and time, and many of them put up their own hard earned money to do so. Now these people don't have to do this, I am sure these people could put their time and money some where else, so why do they do it?, the answer is that these people have had experiences and have seen things that they can not explain and they try so hard to bring these experiences to you the viewer, so before you decide to ridicule one of these people again just think about what you just read first, and further more that type of disrespect will not be tolerated here, this is not one of the many social media sites out there that allows anything to go on for more traffic. When I sat out to build this website I had zero interest in making money with it and I still have zero interest in making money with it, the only reason this website exists is one word and that word is research. |

The digital age is sort of a double edge sword for cryptozoology, they are pros and cons for the digital age for cryptozoology and they are as follows.

About Cryptids And Photos
|
In my pursuit of amateur wildlife photography which has become my favorite past time hobby over the past few years, I still manage to bump into things that just don't match up with the natural animal species of my local area, when this happens I do not immediately go jumping up and down screaming "I saw a monster".
The first things I usually do are examine the photos very well and then I hit the search engines in search of both local and exotic animal photos of anything that looks similar, I search for animals from North America, Central America, and South America now I may do this for weeks, if nothing is found I file it away, I hope that with this website Cryptids And Photos it will give me the tools to communicate with other cryptozoologist, researchers, and those who have a serious interest in these creatures. I personally will have my own way of naming my animals in the best of naming terms for referring to my cryptids, "why?", I do not feel that it is up to me to name these animals as science would as I do not have the ability nor am I qualified to examine their gene structure or chromosomes, but it is up to me to document them with photography which is the sole reason for this website, so if you look at it this way then it makes sense to come up with a more sensible naming convention as a means of referring to a specific animal. With today's digital age we have a world of information at our fingertips, "don't let it go to waste," use it, learn about animals, different species, biology, zoology, there is invaluable free information out there that you can educate yourself with and then when you spot something out of the ordinary you may even be able to tell if it's just a misplaced animal, an invasive species, or perhaps something yet unknown. |
